Kyu “Q” Om

Managing Partner and CEO

Q became the managing partner and CEO of MHX Design in 2017. Q brings over 20 years of management consulting experience in developing products, services, and technology. His expertise in branding, marketing, and sales are the key assets to MHX and our growth. He believes in serving the clients and providing the best customer service experience. He graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and international business. He currently resides in Blue Bell, PA and has been married to his college sweetheart. They have 3 loving children, Matthew, Michael, and Chloe. He actively serves in his church and community. Q is a huge soccer fan and loves all Philly sports teams.

Mark Hyon

Founder and COO

Mark took over his family business in 2005 and found MHX Designs to serve the homeowners directly. Mark brings over 15 years of experience in construction and remodeling business. He currently oversees all MHX projects and operation. He graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in hotel management. He is committed to delivering the best solutions and services to MHX clients. He currently resides in Hatfield, PA with his wife and twin boys – Matthew and Adam. He serves actively at his church in Horsham, PA with Q. Mark loves to play golf and fish during his spare times when he is not spending time with his family.

Claudio Torres

Director of Specialty Services

Claudio joined MHX Designs in 2020 to manage all MHX’s specialty solutions and services. Claudio brings over 15 years of experience in construction and remodeling services. Claudio owned and managed his own interior remodeling company prior to joining MHX Designs. Claudio was Q’s high school best friend in South Jersey and graduated from Rowan University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. He played soccer for 4 years at Rowan. He is an animal lover (people too) and like rescuing dogs. Claudio like to hike, bike, and take care of his 3 dogs during his spare time.

Mike J. Chamberlain

Director of Client Relationship Management

Mike joined MHX as of June of 2021 with over 30 years of building materials and building science experience. His expertise in solving building moisture problems and exterior design have served the community for over 10 years. He has a master’s degree from Bowling Green State University and currently resides in Chester Springs, PA with his wife, Ling. They have three adult children. Mike has been active in mission work, enjoys physical fitness and improvement projects for his home.

Sung O

Director of Project Management

Sung also joined MHX in early 2021 with over 40 years of experience in home construction and remodeling services. He owned a contracting service company for many years and also worked as a project manager for a large construction company. MHX is thrilled to have him to oversee all our projects. He currently resides in East Norriton with his wife of +30 years. He has 3 adult children and enjoys spending time with his extended families and friends.

Tae “Ted” Hyon

Production Manager and Coordinator

Ted joined MHX in 2017 and currently manages all MHX project operation. Ted brings over 20 years of experience in construction services working for many builders and remodeling companies prior to joining MHX Designs. He immigrated to U.S. from Korea in 2002 and has been residing in North Wales since. He is married and has one stepdaughter. He likes to practice a modern Korean martial art, Kumdo, during his spare time.

Shannon Morris

Manager of Administration and Operation

Shannon joined MHX Designs in 2021. She graduated from Saint Joseph’s University with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. She went from managing the family for several years to managing MHX administration and overseeing client engagement. Shannon resides in Collegeville with her husband and two children, Jillian and Ryan. When Shannon is not spending time with her family, she enjoys taking yoga classes, reading and catching up with her girlfriends.
